Reminders late on a Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco phone

Takes 3 minutes · Updated 1 October 2026

Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco phones (MIUI and HyperOS) are strict with apps in the background. Until you change these settings, they can stop everbud from waking up for a prayer or medicine reminder.

1. Turn on Autostart

  1. Open your phone's Settings → Apps → Manage apps → everbud.
  2. Turn on Autostart.

2. Battery saver: No restrictions

  1. In the same everbud page, tap Battery saver (or Battery).
  2. Choose No restrictions.

  2. Allow Show on Lock screen and Display pop-up windows while running in the background.

6. Lock everbud in recent apps

Open your recent apps, then press and hold everbud (or swipe down on it) and tap the lock. Now Clear all won't close everbud.

Then open everbud once so it can set up your reminders again. Still late? See Reminders late or missing? Start here.
