Family invites have a few simple rules: each one works once, for 7 days, and a family holds up to 6 people. Most problems come from one of these.
What the message means
- This invite has expired: it's more than 7 days old. Ask for a new one.
- This invite was already used: each invite works once. Ask for a new one, even if the first try failed halfway.
- …'s family is full: the family already has 6 people. The person who invited you needs to remove someone first, then send a new invite.
- This invite isn't working: the link or code was copied wrong. Check it, or ask for a new invite.
- This is your own invite: send it to the other person instead.
- Couldn't open the invite: check your internet and tap Try again.
To ask for a new invite, tap the WhatsApp button right in that message.
The link opens a web page, not the app
That's fine. On the page, tap the join button. It opens everbud, or Google Play if everbud isn't installed yet. After installing and signing in, the invite is waiting.
Still stuck? Type the code by hand: go to More → Health → Family care, tap Have an invite code?, enter the 8-character code shown on the page, and tap Open. Spaces and dashes don't matter.
On an iPhone?
Install everbud from the App Store and sign in. Then open the invite link again, or type the code by hand as above.
If you're sending the invite
- You've sent a lot of invites today: you can make up to 10 a day. Try again tomorrow.
- Your family is full: remove someone from your family group to make room.
- Send each person their own invite. One link can't be shared by two people.
Already in another family?
You can be in one family at a time. When you open an invite to a new one, everbud asks if you want to move. Moving takes you out of the old family.
